ATL National Talent Showcase

I Love Hip Hop Blog - In October 2012, the first ever ATL National Talent Showcase will take place in Atlanta as a benefit concert/fashion show for the Atlanta chapter of the National Kidney Foundation hosted by Jump to the Sun Productions(a new production/distribution company in Atlanta) and V103. The location for the ATL National Talent Showcase is currently TBA and will feature 5-10 new/unsigned/independent artists, mostly from Atlanta but it’s open all around, and 15 male and female models.

The current line up for the ATL National Talent Showcase are listed below with a few details about each artist:

Issa Thompson: If you haven’t heard of this 18 year old Hip Hop artist, you are seriously behind…or maybe you’re over the age of 18 like me. At 16, Issa became the youngest artist to ever sign to Jive Records and is already being compared to Hip Hop greats like Lil Wayne. His music is widely popular in the Atlanta city high schools. The bands even play his music.

Jacquees: I don’t know much about Jacquees’s music but I do know that he’s Issa Thompson’s cousin and he’s been featured on a few of Issa’s songs. His personality, style, and artistry is completely new to me but I hear that the streets are buzzing.

The Freedom Fighters: If you read my first post ever on I Love Hip Hop Blog, you know all about the Freedom Fighters. All of the Freedom Fighters (Monte Carlo, Steve Cantrell, Baby Juice, and Alil Silliw) will be performing together at the ATL National Talent Showcase. They’re known in the small towns so it’ll be good to see what they can do in the big city.

Miss Mulatto: Now I really have no real information about Miss Mulatto, only that she is an Atlanta native and she’s an R&B singer…and apparently she’s Mulatto. Even her website is clueless to her talent and artistry. I’m not trying to diss but I’ve never seen a web page that empty. I just hope Miss Mulatto shows up at the show.

King Zeuz: Yes that is actually his name. King Zeus is cute though. I’ve only ever had one song with him featured on it but I have a list of songs and links that I still have to click through. When I do, I’ll have more information about him.

Auditions will begin in July for performers.

There are other artists appearing at the show but they haven’t been guaranteed guaranteed if you know what I mean. As soon as I get more details I’ll fill everybody in more. Rumor has it that the Dufflebag Boyz minus 2 Chainz will also be making an appearance. The event planners and promoters are still on the search for the perfect headliner for this event. No one too big but big enough to draw a crowd. Names floating around are Cash Out, Travis Porter, and even Future but we’ll see as the event draws near.

Also, there will be a huge MODEL CALL coming up to fill those modeling positions June 30st and July 1st. They are on the lookout for the top 10 female models and top 5 male models in the city of Atlanta. Know any pretty, pretty tall girls?! Tell her to be on the lookout for the announcement exclusively on ILoveHipHopBlog.com. I’ll be there!!

Until next time Hip Hop lovers!
