Birthday Bash 17 (The Experience)

I Love Hip Hop – Oh My Goodness, you guys! It took me a minute to gather my thoughts, but I am fully prepared to share my experience with you. Let me just start by saying that Birthday Bash 17 was AMAZING. So many great artists blazed the stage & did their thing. Gucci Mane, Future, Travis Porter, Mykko Montana, Ca$h Out, Rick Ross & the King himself T.I. shut Philips Arena DOWN. There were also many special guests, but the A-Town reunion was something major. Rappers like Ying Yang Twins, Lil’ Jon, Lil’ Scrappy, Crime Mob, The Eastside Boyz, Dem Franchize Boys, D4L. They really brought back crunk & good ‘ole southern hip-hop. Some hits that were performed were “Knuck If You Buck,” “Laffy Taffy,” “Get Low,” “Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It,” “Say I Yi Yi” & this is just to name a few. Everybody most definitely did their thing. Atlanta’s own Future had the arena really hype. He has really came a long way from when he performed last year. You could really see improvement, growth, & a lot more audience participation. He performed songs like “Gone To The Moon,” “Same Damn Time,” “Ain’t No Way Around It,” “Squares Out Yo Circle,” & “Turn On The Lights.” All while having a big booty girl in an astronaut suit for the whole set. Rocko got the crowd hyped up before Future came out, especially when he did “Goin’ Steady” acapella with a lot of audience participation. Gucci Mane performed hits like “Ima Dog,” “Photoshoot,” “Makin’ Love To The Money,” “I Think I Love Her,” & “Bricks.” Hands down, you guys, it was a great night, but it wouldn’t have been right of the King of the South himself, T.I. didn’t shut it down & that’s exactly what he did. He had his own mini concert going on, calling it “his” Birthday Bash. He came out to “I’m Back” & then performed some of hits like “Rubberband Man,” “Top Back,” “You Don’t Know Me,” “Live Your Life,” “What You Know About That,” “Whatever You Life,” “24′s.” This is just to name a few. He brought out Young Jeezy & they performed “F*ck Da City Up.” He brought out Loverance, who is responsible for the radio hit “Up! (Beat The).” Chief Keef also came out & did his thing, performing his hit “I Don’t Like.” There was a reaction like no other when he brought Usher who performed “Climax.” Nelly later came out & performed “Dilemma” & yes people. Miss Kelly Rowland was in the building. Afterwards, she performed “Motivation,” which she asked for a little crowd participation on Wayne’s part, but that wasn’t needed. Lil’ Wayne came out on a skateboard & it was the FIRST they had actually performed the song together. Lil’ Wayne performed “Bill Gates” & “The Motto” & shut Birthday Bash was shut down. Birthday Bash 17 was a night to remember. I’ll never forget it & I had the time of my life. Peep some pics below:
